North Junior High Wins 2024 National Academic Championships

North Junior High School students from Boise, Idaho excelled at the 2024 National Academic Championships. The winning team included 9th graders Grady Noble and Scarlet Fields, 8th graders Ike Snyder, Rachel Cooper, and Sonia Guyton, and 7th grader Christopher Irwin.

The National Academic Championships involve teams of four players competing in subjects like literature, history, science, geography, math, popular culture, and current events. Teams across the country go through qualifying tournaments to reach the National Preliminaries, and successful teams then move on to the National Playoffs.

Out of 40 qualifying teams nationwide, 16 made it to the National Playoffs. North Junior High School's team impressively won all their playoff games and scored the most points per game, securing them the national championship.
