Boise Police Department in Boise, Idaho recently welcomed 11 new police officers on the same day they bid farewell to Officer Blake Slater who retired after 28 years of service. Officer Slater is known for his tenure on the BPD Bike Patrol and the BPD Behavioral Health Response Team. However, he is most recognized for his friendly demeanor and approachable nature, stating "there are no strangers, just friends I haven't met yet." We wish Officer Blake Slater a fulfilling retirement.
