Boise, Idaho - The Boise Police Department welcomed 11 new police officers who recently completed the department's academy training. The group of graduates was selected from a pool of 200 applicants who began the process over a year ago. The new officers will now advance to the next phase of their training, where they will work under the guidance of a Field Training Officer and respond to calls for service. Among the group are individuals with diverse backgrounds, including the son of a current BPD officer and a former BPD Community Service Officer. The department expressed pride in their commitment to serving the City of Boise. Additionally, a new Chaplain, Ginger Passarelli, was sworn in during the ceremony and welcomed to the BPD family.
