Rain, snow, thunderstorms and strong winds expected in Boise

Rain and snow showers are expected to persist until early Thursday according to the US National Weather Service in Boise, Idaho. There is also a slight chance (15-35%) of thunderstorms today. The weather will be breezy to windy due to a cold front passing through the region, with gusts reaching 25-45 mph. Snow levels are predicted to drop from 6500 feet above mean sea level (MSL) to 4500 feet MSL later today. Significant snow accumulations are anticipated in the mountains due to these weather conditions.
